Blaes Communications Consulting, LLC is SWaM-certified by the Commonwealth of Virginia as a small, woman-owned, full-service marketing consulting company based in Richmond, Virginia.

For over 20 years, Valarie Blaes has been providing quality, innovative and results-driven marketing, business development and communications services to a variety of professional services companies, ranging from architects and engineers to massage therapists.

Valarie has a Bachelor of Arts in English with a Journalism emphasis and a minor in Speech Communication from Old Dominion University, and holds the distinction of being an Adobe Certified Associate CS3 – Web Communication using Adobe Dreamweaver. She is a member of the Society of Professional Journalists, the Association of Proposal Management Professionals and the Southampton Citizens Association.
